Lynn Barre is a yoga teacher, somatic educator and restorative exercise specialist.  Since first emerging from childhood surgeries and body casts, she became a relentless explorer of movement. Her journey took her to dance, pilates and eventually yoga.   A dedicated yoga student for twenty-five years, she was certified to teach in 2001 at Om Yoga, New York.  Lynn works continually to expand her understanding, considering both eastern traditional practices and contemporary western modalities.  She brings insight from these perspectives into her classes - yoga, dance or restorative exercise.

As a professional dancer, Lynn performed across the US and abroad with Philadanco, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. She's had the privilege of teaching a wide variety of students and embraces work with dancers, elders and those with special challenges.  She aims to assist each person in restoring movement freedom and approaching practice or performance in ways which ultimately nourish and support the whole being.
