The contemporary dance class starts organically from the ground up. Floor work warms the body from within and the standing center utilizes classical technique and broad circular movement as a vehicle to enable full range of movement and expression. Class culminates with a phrase that each dancer can work with in her own way- finding her creative rhythm and voice.  Lynn Barre draws on 20 years as a professional dancer, work with gifted choreographers, and experience teaching a diverse range of students.
 

WestHawaii Dance Theatre is located in the B & K Industrial Center at the end of Alapa Street in the old industrial area of Kailua Kona.  The studio is at the very end of the parking lot on the second floor above Rags Mercedes.
